| Las
Vegas Countdown for
Frontier Hotel and Casino Implosion
Fireworks
by Grucci
creates pyrotechnic sendoff
for the oldest surviving hotel and casino on the Vegas
Strip.
Las
Vegas , NV – November 13, 2007 –
Fireworks by Grucci was again commissioned to produce the pyrotechnic
entertainment on the Las Vegas Strip for the implosion of the
Frontier Hotel and Casino.
Elad
Properties, after witnessing the impact of a Grucci performance
for the 100th Anniversary of the NYC Plaza Hotel, requested
Fireworks by Grucci to deliver the same impact for the
Frontier implosion.
Phil
Grucci, Designer and Executive Producer states, "We
are honored to be commissioned by Elad Properties to design
and deliver the excitement of this historic event. We
are already envisioning the many unique pyrotechnic features
to accent the highly anticipated $5 Billion Plaza Hotel
Grand opening coming in 2011."
Working
closely with the famed Loizeaux Family of Controlled Demolition
(CDI), Fireworks by Grucci installed and fired in excess
of 3000 circuits inside the historic Frontier Hotel structure
to illuminate the excitement of the implosion of the tower.
Six minutes of fireworks and special effects were fired
from the rooftop, pool area and front facade of the tower
to produce the spectacular prelude; beginning with a Pyrotechnic
Fuse effect; followed by the Grucci Implosion trademark,
the Pyro Digit Countdown; and ending with the newest addition
to the Grucci Library, the Pyro Plunger effect.
All effects fired perfectly, leading to
a precise CDI implosion sequence resulting in a compact
pile of Frontier rubble.
Job
well done by all!
Las
Vegas KLAS-TV covered the event and captured the implosion
with excellent video and still photos. To view, go to
