America's Party - New Year's Eve 2015-16 Dec 31, 2015

Dec 31, 2015 - Las Vegas Events and Fireworks by Grucci rang in the New Year 2016 at “America's Party” to help the Nation Shoot for the Stars.

Las Vegas is renowned for hosting the largest, most sensational New Year’s Eve celebration in the USA. To ring in 2016, the city’s festivities reached new heights in a dazzling farewell to 2015. The Aria, Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood, Stratosphere, Treasure Island and The Venetian offered front row seats to this unprecedented pyrotechnic extravaganza.

After the thrilling countdown to midnight and, for many, the traditional kiss to Auld Lang Syne, Grucci launched its state-of-the-art Las Vegas New Year's Eve performance, precisely choreographed to its hit-filled "I'm On Top Of the World" music mix.

This year, the soundtrack was inspired by the seven participating properties, and a special song was dedicated to each, including "Hollywood" by Michael Jackson, "Treasure" by Bruno Mars, and of course "I'm On Top Of The World" by Imagine Dragons.

The dazzling rush of sound and light delighted the senses and set a celebratory mood for revelers across Las Vegas. The Grand finale paid tribute to the centennial celebration of the iconic “Frank Sinatra,” the man who made Vegas the Vegas we know today! Sinatra’s “Luck Be a Lady" was be part of the Grucci Finale.

The Grucci team consists of Executive Producer Phil Grucci, Assistant Show Producers Edward Rubio and Christopher Carlino, Chief Pyrotechnicians Salvatore Camarda, Scott Cooper, Paul Ferry, Richard Lanzer, James Lipp, Anthony Magno Sr., and Gerry Smith.  The team includes 49 Pyrotechnicians; this does not include security, engineers, and facility staff involved with the program.

Phil Grucci and Mayor Carolyn Goodman joined other corporate and government authorities involved in planning "America's Party"

“Designing shows for events like “America’s Party” – performed on Americas greatest New Year’s Eve stage: the Las Vegas Strip – is perhaps the most thrilling and humbling experience one could have in this line of work!” said Phil Grucci, President and Creative Director of Fireworks by Grucci, “We take great pride in capturing the joy and electricity of the holiday through the unique artistry of pyrotechnic design. As we bid farewell to 2015 and welcome 2016 with joy and anticipation, we look forward to bringing the Las Vegas rooftops to life with revelry, music, and the most spectacular fireworks in the country!”

Each year, the preparation for “America’s Party” begins as soon as the smoke has settled from the last. A Vegas New Year’s Eve show is a culmination of 12 months of planning, developing, and designing the most exciting and intricate pyrotechnic effects offered in the world.

Over 11,000 electrical circuits were programmed to launch with lightning speed and precision, delivering an intricate, synchronized display sequence from seven Las Vegas Strip Locations. Each circuit can display several light and color effects, resulting in over 80,000 pyrotechnic firings during the 8 minutes and 18 second performance. To ensure onlooker safety, and to preserve the delicate balance of design and entertainment, Fireworks by Grucci collaborates very closely with the Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas Metro, Las Vegas Fire Department, and Las Vegas Events to deliver an unparalleled performance. The event’s success would not be possible without the cooperation of these dedicated teams.
