The 200th Anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner Sep 13, 2014

September 13, 2014 - Fireworks by Grucci began the 20 minute fireworks celebration with a Pyrotechnic PixelBurst™ of the American Flag that measured 900 feet by 600 feet and hovered over Fort McHenry; the original battlefield and birthplace of our National Anthem.  This never before seen effect earned Grucci another Guinness World Record for the “World’s Largest Pyrotechnic Image" ever recorded.

This edited video by MPT (Maryland Public Television)

features the Star Spangled Banner sung by Jordan Sparks.

This dramatic opening was followed by a steady series of customized firework scenes representing each line of Francis Scott Key’s immortal composition simulating “Broad Stripes & Bright Stars”, “Rockets Red Glare”, and “Bombs Bursting in Air.”

Here now the entire unedited show as captured by WBAL-TV Baltimore Maryland:

From nine locations along the inner harbor, including six barges and three rooftops, the fireworks danced together in perfectly timed precision and harmony. The heartfelt patriotic production included 40 Pyrotechnicians and took over 10 months of design, manufacturing and planning. “I am so very proud to have our fireworks family perform for this historic occasion” stated Phil Grucci “The execution of the PixelBurst™ American Flag was a very emotional and rewarding personal experience we will honor and cherish forever”.
